Subject: Installation of MLx-22 Microlith Prism Rail
1. Unload firearm and remove any magazines, check chamber visually and physically, engage safety. Ensure work area is clear of ammunition. Treat every firearm as if it were loaded.
2. Tools required:
T10 bit (included) and bit driver
Hex key or other wrench/bit for optic mount screws (included with your optic).
Torque wrench in lb-in (recommended)
Blue Loctite 242 (recommended)
3. If present, remove three plug screws from the top of the receiver, two in front, and one rear-most.
4. Fit and align the optic to the 3 center optic mount holes on MLx-22. You will find two receiver mount holes in the front, and one receiver mount hole in the rear. Ensure your optic faces forward.
5. Use the three short optic mount screws included with your optic and fasten the microprism to the MLx-22 rail. Use blue Loctite if not present on the screws, tighten to optic manufacturers specifications.
6. Place the optic and rail assembly onto the 10/22 receiver. Using the included 6-48 T10 screws, apply a small amount of blue Loctite to threads and begin each screw engagement just enough to stabilize assembly, until all screws are located and started. Evenly tighten each screw until snug, then torque to no more than 12 lb-in.
